Montiel Lifts Men's Hoops to Comeback Win

Trevor Montiel made the game-winning shot with 3.2 seconds remaining as the Benedictine University men's basketball team rallied in the second half to score a 64-61 win over visiting Marian University.

Montiel had also put Benedictine ahead just 27 seconds earlier.

Montiel finished with 22 points to lead Benedictine, adding seven rebounds. Nick Howard notched 16 to go with 12 rebounds. Benedictine held a 37-31 advantage on the glass.

Benedictine (5-2, 2-1 NACC) hosts Rockford next Saturday.
