The Benedictine University women's basketball team claimed their first win of the season by pulling away from visiting Illinois Tech 79-65 in overtime at home.
Benedictine led for most of the game, holding a 34-21 lead at the half. A big three-pointer from
Sierra Skack in the final minute of the fourth quarter sent the game into overtime. Benedictine dominated the extra session, putting up 22 points, their highest total in a quarter to pull away in the extra session.
Autumn Rucker notched a career best 19 points off the bench, one of five players to hit double figures.

Claire Levendoski 11. Benedictine held a 53-42 advantage on the glass and shot 37.9 percent in the game.
Benedictine (1-7, 1-1 NACC) is off until a trip to California for a pair of contests on December 19 and 20.
