Honoring the late Christian Staple, the Benedictine University men's volleyball team dropped a spirited four-set decision to 10th ranked North Central in the first ever Christian Staple Battle of Chicago and Maple. Benedictine claimed the opening set before a large crowd but North Central won the next three, holding off a fourth set rally.
Chase Olson,
Martin Radomski and
Cooper Armstrong all put down eight kills for Benedictine, who hit just .114 for the day and totaled 34 kills.
Kyle Vasquez recorded 18 digs.
Eoin O'Toole totaled six blocks with Armstrong adding five.
