Trevor Montiel forced overtime by making a layup with 4.7 seconds remaining but a three to win in overtime was off target as the Benedictine University men's basketball team fell to Illinois Tech 64-62. Despite the defeat the team still secured a slot in the NACC Tournament. The game featured 12 ties and 14 lead changes as neither team was able to lead by more than five points. Benedictine held a 44-40 advantage on the glass but shot just 35 percent for the game including 17 percent from three-point range. Montiel led Benedictine with 21 points in a second straight showing of 20 or more.

Marvin Agwomoh notching 10 to go with nine rebounds.
