The Benedictine University men's basketball team secured a home game in the conference tournament by winning 88-83 at home over Aurora and with a Rockford win at Illinois Tech. Benedictine built a big early lead but needed to hang on for the decision. Shooting over 50 percent in the first half Benedictine built a 50-30 lead at the break. Benedictine held a 42-33 advantage on the glass.
Andrew Stokes posted a double-double off the bench with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
