After facing a daunting non-conference schedule the Benedictine University men's volleyball team opened conference play on the road, scoring a thrilling four-set decision over the preseason favorites in the NACC, Aurora. The final set saw Benedictine win 33-31. Benedictine hit over .300 for the match at .307 and posted a hitting percentage of .423 in the third set and .400 in the fourth.
Chase Olson put down 16 kills while
Cooper Armstrong added 11 and
Brannen Almarales nine.
Sanchit Khaitan posted 45 assists while
Kyle Vasquez, who recently recorded his 500th career dig, paced the defense with 14 digs. Benedictine also posted seven blocks in the win. Benedictine has won back-to-back contests.
