For the second time this season
Trevor Montiel hit a game-winner at the buzzer as the Benedictine University men's basketball team rallied from down double digits to knock down Concordia Wisconsin 67-65 on Saturday. Montiel scored the final four points of the contest, tying the game with 42 seconds remaining and finished with eight points in the win. Montiel was making the 50th start of his career at Benedictine. Benedictine closed the game on a 9-0 run. The game featured eight ties and six lead changes.
Marvin Agwomoh led Benedictine with 20 points.
Cullen Cosme notched 13 along with
Andrew Stokes who added 10 rebounds. Benedictine shot 50 percent in the second half after notching just a 33.3 clip in the opening 20 minutes and finished at 41.5 percent.
