The Benedictine University softball team brought the bats on day three of the spring trip to Florida, eclipsing double figures twice to sweep another day of action.
Leading 2-1 in the opener against UW-Stout, Benedictine used two big innings to put the game away, winning 15-2. The team scored five runs in the fourth and eight in the sixth.
Neena Franklin drove home five runs. Eight players posted hits.
Taylor Skraba and
Victoria Duszynski both knocked home three.
Alexandra Loizon earned the win with four innings of work.
A wild second game saw Benedictine fall behind 5-1 before scoring six runs in the fourth. St. Mary's plated four runs in the sixth to take the lead but Benedictine plated a pair in the bottom of the inning to nab the win. Fisher drove home three runs while Duszynski and
Jasmine Lozano notched two hits apiece.
