The Benedictine University softball team closed out play on the spring trip with a 7-3 record after winning 8-0 against Ripon and falling 10-1 to Hamilton. Both games were five innings in length.
Benedictine scored in all five innings to topple Ripon. 
Colleen Schmit and 
Morgan Bruno both posted two-run hits in a four-run third that broke the game open. All nine members of the lineup posted a hit. 
Alexandra Loizon tossed her third shutout of the trip, allowing just two hits with four strikeouts to grab the victory.
Hamilton scored four times in the first inning and finished with at least two runs in every frame, tallying 14 hits to take the second contest. 
Lauryn Olson drove home the lone Benedictine run with a second inning sacrifice fly.
