The Benedictine University softball team was swept at MSOE in a doubleheader, falling 3-2 and 5-0.
MSOE walked off with a win in the opener. Benedictine held a 2-0 lead behind single runs in the first and third.
Ashley Fisher homered in the first and
Jasmine Lozano tallied a sacrifice fly in the third. MSOE responded with two in the bottom of the inning and neither team scored again until the ninth. Benedictine tallied five hits in the game coming from five different individuals.
Alexandra Loizon tossed a complete game but suffered the loss, allowing just two earned runs while striking out five.
MSOE scored in three consecutive innings and limited Benedictine to just two hits in the second contest.
Jasmine Lozano posted both hits and pitched six innings in the circle.
