The Benedictine University softball team picked up a pair of road wins at Wisconsin Lutheran, capturing 14-0 and 8-3 contests.
Benedictine broke open a scoreless game in the third inning by notching 11 runs. Eight of the runs came with two outs.
Jasmine Lozano opened the scoring with a two-run single. Benedictine totaled 12 hits in the inning as 16 batters came to the plate.
Alexandra Loizon notched her eighth win of the season, tossing 4.1 innings in the circle. Lozano,
Taylor Skraba and
Ashley Fisher all posted three hits in the first three slots of the lineup. Benedictine finished with 17 hits but just four went for extra bases.
Morgan Bruno coaxed a bases loaded walk in the fourth inning of the second contest to open the scoring. Benedictine scored twice in the fourth, four times in the fifth and twice in the sixth. Lozano worked 5.2 innings to earn her sixth win of the year. Fisher finished with three hits and drove home a pair. Bruno also knocked in two.
