The Benedictine University softball team recorded their third conference sweep, taking down Edgewood 5-1 and 6-3 at home on Saturday.
Benedictine scored in three consecutive innings to open a 4-0 lead in the opener. Eight players posted hits in the win.
Ashley Fisher was 2-for-3. Five of the team's nine hits went for extra bases including a
Morgan Bruno RBI triple in the fourth, when Benedictine plated a pair of runs.
Alexandra Loizon tossed a complete game, allowing just one run while striking out eight to garner her 10th win of the year.
The second game saw Benedictine score two runs in the bottom of the second and hold a 3-1 advantage. Edgewood was able to tie the game with a pair of runs in the fifth but Benedictine answered with two in the bottom of the inning and another in the sixth to grab the sweep.

Jasmine Lozano tossed 4.2 innings to grab her seventh win while
Bella Lodico closed out the contest.
