The Benedictine University baseball team scored 12 runs in each end of a doubleheader sweep at Rockford on Saturday with wins of 12-4 and 12-5.
Benedictine scored single runs in each of the first two innings in the opener and plated four in the fourth and one in the sixth to lead 7-0 in the opener.
Logan Gregorio hit a grand slam in the fourth and drove home a run in the sixth with an RBI single. Benedictine posted 18 hits with the lone extra-base hit coming on the Gregorio homer. Gregorio drove home five. Gregorio,

Brennan Fisher all collected three hits. Nine different players recorded hits.
Stephen Sewruk stretched out to five innings and did not allow a run, walking one and striking out five to earn the win.
Austin Pizer threw 1.2 innings to pick up the save.
Rockford led 3-0 in the second game after scoring three times in the bottom of the third but Benedictine scored seven runs in the fourth to take control. Gregorio hit a two-run homer in the inning and was again heavily involved with the offense. Benedictine finished with 15 hits, seven for extra bases. Gregorio was 5-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBIs.
Andrew Kurcz worked seven innings to grab his sixth win of the year.
