The Benedictine University baseball team capped a busy weekend and rounded out the regular season with a doubleheader split at Concordia Wisconsin, taking game one 7-5 and dropping the second contest 7-3.

Cole Wilson put Benedictine in front in the first game with a two-run homer in the top of the second. Making his second start,
Eddie Wilson worked into the seventh, tossing 6.2 innings and allowing just two runs while striking out six.
Nick Shelton finished out the game to earn his third save. Benedictine posted 14 hits, three for extra bases, and swiped four bags in the win. Benedictine led 5-1 and 7-2 but needed to turn a double play to escape the eighth with the tying run at the plate.
Anthony Lenza finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Wilson,
Andrew Tenison,
Brennan Fisher and
Kevin Bushnell all logged two hits in the win.
Wilson again put Benedictine in front in the second game with an RBI single in the first but Concordia Wisconsin scored three times in the bottom of the frame and led the remainder of the contest. Benedictine was limited to just six hits in the second game, all coming from different individuals. The team also struck out 10 times in the sixth game over three days. Tenison started on the mound and took the loss after working four innings.
Chris Bieniek tossed three innings and
Leo Corbett worked the eighth.
Benedictine (28-12, 18-6 NACC) owns a bye in the NACC Tournament and will play their first game at 4:00pm on Thursday.
