The Benedictine University football team opened the home and conference portion of the schedule with a 63-7 loss to visiting Aurora.
Aurora scored 21 points in the first quarter and did not look back, leading 28-0 at the half and scoring the first 35 points of the game.
Dylan Sigel broke free for the lone Benedictine touchdown midway through the third.
Evan Wydajewski hit Sigel on a dep route over the middle for a 53-yard touchdown.
Benedictine finished with 208 yards of offense. Wydajewski finished with eight completions for 110 yards.
Gregory Hoard finished with 77 yards rushing on 17 carries. Sigel caught five passes for 87 yards.
Michael Dinaso led the defense with 11 tackles.
Tyler Walker added 10. Kennon Davis recorded a sack along with
Brian Pritt.
Benedictine (0-2, 0-1 NACC) is back at home next week against Concordia Chicago.
