Trevor Montiel did it again. Montiel hit the game-winning shot with .5 seconds left to power the Benedictine University men's basketball team to a 76-75 victory over visiting Dominican on Saturday.

GAME WINNER

Montiel, who has made several clutch shots in his decorated career and just became a member of the 1,000-point club, also hit the game winner with just over three seconds left at home against Marian on December 9. Benedictine trailed 75-71 with 1:08 to play in the game before Montiel scored the final five points. The game-winner came following a timeout after Benedictine missed consecutive shots and snared a pair of offensive rebounds. For the game, Benedictine shot 43.1 percent and held a slim 35-34 advantage on the glass. Benedictine amassed 44 points in the paint, 17 second chance points and 10 fast break points. The bench accounted for 19 points in the game.
