The Benedictine University women's basketball team knocked down 13 three-pointers, including 11 in the first half, to tally an 86-56 win at home over visiting Dominican University on Saturday.
Benedictine trailed early, but a 12-2 run opened the door to a big first quarter.
Sierra Skack opened the run with a three-pointer. Benedictine led 29-11 after one and opened the second with an 11-0 run, hitting three triples. The lead was as big as 34 points in the win.
Benedictine shot 48.5 percent in the game and was 13-of-28 from three-point range while holding a 47-34 edge on the glass. The bench scored 53 points and Benedictine logged 19 points on turnovers and 22 on the fast break.
Skack finished a big week by amassing 17 points, finishing 6-of-10 from the field and 5-of-8 from three-point range.
Cami Hurt and
Olympia Kokkines both tallied nine points off the bench.
Benedictine (4-11, 4-2 NACC) will visit Rockford on Wednesday night.
