The Benedictine University football team made the short journey to Aurora and suffered a 56-20 loss to the nationally ranked conference champions.
Benedictine did not lead in the contest. Aurora returned an interception for a touchdown on the first possession of the game. Benedictine attempted to keep the Aurora offense off the field by grinding out drives.
Jake Diamantos recorded an interception to halt an Aurora drive but the hosts led 14-0 after the first. A long drive resulted in Benedictine's lone score of the half when

Alex Siebens for a nine-yard score with 10:01 left in the first half. Aurora scored on two straight drives to close the half, leading 28-7.
Turnovers plagued the start of the third before Aurora added to the lead.
DJ McIntosh recorded a big kickoff return to set up a touchdown when Dino Stephens capped five straight running plays by breaking free for a 27-yard strike just before the end of the third. Two more touchdowns from Aurora opened the fourth before Jason Moore snamred a three-yard pass for the final Benedictine points with 2:56 to play.
Wydajewski completed nine passes for 115 yards with two touchdowns.
Alexander Corbett caught five of the passes. Stephens carried the ball 22 times for 128 yards with a touchdown. Diamantos and
John Thompson both racked up 11 tackles.
Miles Galindo also recorded an interception.
Benedictine (4-5, 2-5 NACC) will enjoy an off week before ending the season at Concordia Chicago on November 16.
