The Benedictine University women's basketball team was able to win for the first time this season, streaking to a 73-42 victory at Beloit on Wednesday night.
Benedictine did not trail in the contest, scoring the first four points of the game on baskets from
Alexis Schueler and
Makenzie Carroll. The lead grew to double figures at 18-7 halfway through the first on a layup from
Allison Jarvis. Benedictine led by 17 at the half and pulled away behind a big third quarter.
Benedictine shot 42.9 percent in the contest and held a 43-28 advantage on the glass. Jarvis came off the bench to score a game high 16 points. Schueler tacked on nine
Benedictine (1-1) hosts St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon.
