The Benedictine University women's basketball team did not trail in rolling to their eighth conference win of the season, upending Illinois Tech 81-52 on Saturday afternoon.
Benedictine scored the first two points of the game and held a 22-8 lead after one and a 41-18 lead at the half. The scoring and minutes were spread out in the road victory.
Benedictine held a 46-32 edge on the glass, scored 42 points in the paint, 19 second chance points and 23 points off turnovers. The team shot 45.5 percent for the contest.
Sophia Hardy led the way with 13 points in 17 minutes of action.
Jordan Carlquist and
Autumn Rucker both totaled 11 points. Every player who saw the floor scored.
Benedictine (8-13, 8-4 NACC) hosts Edgewood on Wednesday night.
