Facing another tough test, the Benedictine University men's volleyball team was swept at home in a non-conference contest by #10 Carthage.
Carthage hit .366 for the match while Benedictine was at .167. Benedictine was hanging with the guests but long runs provided the space for the win.
Brayden Rice and
Anthony Dobie both posted 10 kills with
Brannen Almarales adding seven. Almarales led the defense with eight digs.
Chandler Olson distributed 17 assists.
All but one of Benedictine's losses have come in straight sets with all eight coming against teams that were ranked, are ranked, or received votes at some point this season.
Benedictine (12-8) returns to conference action on Saturday at MSOE.
