The Benedictine University softball team returned to action and collected two more wins, notching a 2-1 decision over Penn State-Brandywine and a 7-3 win against Illinois College.
Morgan Bruno led off the first game with a single and came in to score the first run on an RBI single from
Victoria Duszynski. With the score tied in the bottom of the sixth, Duszynski doubled home
Taylor Oppenhuis with the winning run.Duszynski was 3-for-3 with two RBIs in the win.
Bella Lodico went the distance in the circle and allowed just one run on seven hits while fanning five.
Game two saw a lot of action early as Benedictine scored in each of the first three innings. The team finished with 12 hits as each of the top six in the lineup posted at least one.
Sam Davidowski notched three hits, scored twice and drove home two.
Mia Giammarese earned the win in the circle with a complete game.
Benedictine (6-2) is off again on Wednesday before playing two more on Thursday.
