Box Score 2 The Benedictine University softball team will be the fifth seed in the NACC Tournament after concluding the regular season with a pair of losses at Aurora.
Benedictine led 4-0 in the opener, scoring twice in each of the first two innings. Aurora scored nine unanswered to nab the win.
Taylor Oppenhuis posted three hits along with
Haley Barnes. Barnes knocked home runs in each of the first two innings.
Aurora jumped out big in the second game, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first and adding nine runs in the fourth. The four runs for Benedictine came in the top of the fifth.
Benedictine (24-16) will face eighth-seeded Edgewood on Thursday in the opening round of the tournament.
