The Benedictine University men's soccer team scored twice in the final 10 minutes to open conference play with a 2-0 blanking of Concordia Wisconsin on Wednesday night.
Benedictine controlled the tempo of the game, hanging on to possession consistently but could not break through until late.
David Szaflarski scored on a penalty kick in the 80th minute to open the scoring.
Chris Reynoso netted his third goal of the year five minutes later on a pass from Beto Castillo to polish off the victory.
Benedictine finished with 17 shots in the win while the defense limited Concordia Wisconsin to just five and only one on goal which was stopped by
Jordan Rolon in his second shutout of the year.
Benedictine (3-2-1, 1-0 NACC) visits St. Norbert on Saturday.
