The Benedictine University men's volleyball team will host #18 North Central on Saturday night at 5:00pm in the annual Christian Staple Battle of Chicago/Maple.

Christian Staple was the head men's volleyball coach at Benedictine University in 2021 and 2022, guiding the team to the national championship match in 2021. Staple passed away in 2022 and this match along with an endowment have been established to ensure his legacy lives on. Benedictine last hosted the event in 2023 and drew the largest crowd in program history.

Doors will open at 3:30pm with a Cash Bar happening on Court C beginning at 4pm (NOTE: Alcohol must remain in the Court C area).

The match will begin at 5:00pm but prior to the contest will include a moment of silence and a reading related to the endowment, which will have donations available throughout the facility.

Between the second and third set will be a serve for swag where fans will have a few minutes to try their own hand at serving, hit a prize, win that prize!
