The Benedictine University men's basketball team opened the home and conference portion of the schedule by taking down visiting Aurora.

THE DETAILS
- The opening 10 minutes of the half were back-and-forth as most of the first half was played with either team within six points
- A layup from Nathan LaPlant put Benedictine ahead 34-28 with 4:17 left in the first 
- Aurora pulled within one late but Benedictine took a six-point lead into the half
- The lead swelled to 15 after two free throws from Jakeem Cole as Benedictine opened the second half with a 9-0 run
- Benedictine led by 19 in the second half as Aurora pulled no closer than 10 the rest of the way

STAT LEADERS
- Four players reached double figures for Benedictine led by a game best 20 from Aidan Werth, who was 7-for-10 from the field
- Ryan Tucker added 19 points and Cole added 11
- Noah Mason posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, electrifying the crowd with a pair of dunks
- Benedictine shot 50 percent in both halves
- Both teams finished with 45 rebounds
