A short-handed Benedictine University men's basketball dropped a non-conference contest at home to the University of Dubuque in the final game before Christmas.

- Down three starters Benedictine fell behind early as the team did not score until the 13:49 mark of the first half on a three from Connor Glasgow
- Dubuque led the whole game, building a 23-point first half advantage
- The visitors went into the break leading 41-20
- Brandon McCoy scored the first four points of the second half as Benedictine amped up the full court pressure and rallied
