The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team headed to Concordia Wisconsin to continue the conference slate and suffered a 20-9 defeat.
The hosts scored the first three goals of the game before
Aiden Elliott put Benedictine on the board with 10:10 to go in the first. Goals from
Dylan Skura and
Dylan Langley were able to bring Benedictine within 4-3 during the busy opening 15 minutes but Concordia Wisconsin logged back-to-back goals with just over two minutes to go to lead 6-3. Langley opened the scoring in the second but Concordia Wisconsin answered with eight straight leading into the second half to seize control.
Benedictine totaled 37 shots, 25 of which were on target. Elliott and Langley both scored twice.
Luis Hernandez scored a goal and notched two assists.
Jack Whalon won 15 faceoffs and collected nine groundballs.
Owen Johnson played three quarters in goal and stopped 15 shots.
Benedictine (1-7, 0-3 NACC) will host Dubuque on Wednesday night in a trophy game.
