The Benedictine University baseball team suffered an 8-3 loss to Anderson in Florida, evening the team's record through the first four games of the venture at 2-2.
Anderson scored four times in the third inning and did not look back. Benedictine attempted to rally with a run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly from Nic Catrovillari. Anderson tallied a single run in the fifth before Benedictine plated two more to draw within 5-3.
Kevin Butler and
George Betevis both notched RBI singles in the inning.
Eight players posted hits for Benedictine, who finished with nine.
Mike Budorick was the lone player to tally more than one with two.
Dean Rokkas worked five innings and took the loss.
Nicholas Rayyan and
Steven Byrne finished out the game on the hill.
Benedictine (3-3) is off Thursday before facing a regional power in Buena Vista on Friday.
