For the third time in the early portion of the conference season the Benedictine University baseball team came away with a split, bouncing back from a shutout to win the second at Concordia Chicago.

Three different pitchers appeared for Benedictine led by
Jackson Bahn, who made his first start of the year. Bahn threw four innings and allowed just one run with three walks and six strikeouts but suffered the defeat.
John Creviston worked three and
Anthony Sexton one. Benedictine tallied five hits from five different individuals. The hosts scored twice in the seventh to gain some space in the contest. Benedictine drew seven walks but left 14 on base.
BENEDICTINE 7, CONCORDIA CHICAGO 6
Benedictine led the entire game and road a solid outing from
JT Adams on the mound but needed to hold on late to salvage a split. Benedictine scored a pair of runs in each of the first two innings to lead 4-0. Nick Castrovillari singled home two in the first and
George Betevis connected on a two-run homer in the second. Benedictine held a 7-3 advantage entering the eighth but Concordia Chicago drew within a run in the ninth and left the tying run at third.
Adams threw 7.1 innings to pick up his third win of the season.
Conner Kendall recorded the final two outs for the save. Betevis and
Brennan Fisher both tallied two hits. Fisher crossed the plate three times. Betevis, Castrovillari and
Tommy Jusi Jr. all knocked home a pair. Benedictine finished with 10 hits in the victory.
Benedictine (11-10, 3-5) hosts MSOE on Saturday.
