The Benedictine University baseball team scored 11 runs in the sixth inning to take a wild 21-16 decision over Carthage, the leaders of the CCIW, on the road Monday afternoon.
The crazy nature of the game started in the first inning. Benedictine plated three runs in the top of the first.
George Betevis led off the game with a homer and
Nic Castrovillari posted a two-run single. Carthage responded with six runs in the bottom of the inning.
Justin Nonnenmann tied the game with a three-run homer in the top of the third before Carthage regained the edge in the bottom half with two more.

Brennan Fisher and Castrovillari both notched three hits.
Kevin Butler knocked home three.
