The Benedictine University baseball team completed the opening weekend of the season with a loss to another strong non-conference team in Tennessee.

THE DETAILS
- Millikin opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the third
- Benedictine was able to tie the game in the top of the fifth
- Anthony Mitchell tripled home Carter Funk
- Millikin answered with five runs in the bottom of the inning to seize control and added another in the seventh to go up 7-1
- Benedictine attempted to rally, plating three in the eighth
- Nic Castrovillari knocked home a run with a groundout and Mike Budorick singled home a pair but that was as close as Benedictine was able to get

STAT LEADERS
- Braden Behrns received the start on the mound and worked into the fifth
- Jake Chrzastowski, Jack Hayden, Jason Gutowski and Dalton Kostecka also appeared on the mound
- Seven different individuals posted hits for Benedictine
