ROME, Ga. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-1 decision to Berry College on the road Monday.
Berry scored the first four goals of the game before
McKall Pugliese scored the lone Benedictine goal with 20:10 to play in the first. Berry led 13-1 at the half.
Both defenses tightened in the second half as Berry held just a 3-0 edge in goals. Benedictine managed just four shots in the defeat.
Tricia Baluyut stopped 11 shots in the contest.
The contest was the opener of the spring break trip for the women, who will meet Sewanee: University of the South, on Wednesday.
