LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team improved in the second half but still suffered a 19-4 defeat at the hands of Beloit on Sunday afternoon.
Beloit blanked Benedictine in the first half, opening a 7-0 lead.
Annette Dzielski recorded the first goal of the second half, putting Benedictine on the board off a feed from
McKall Pugliese.
Hannah Payne scored twice in the half and Pugliese added a tally as well to account for the scoring.
Beloit held a 30-14 advantage in shots.
Tricia Baluyut recorded eight saves in goal for the Eagles.
Benedictine (1-6, 0-3) plays at North Central on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
