The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team will play host to two games this week at the Village of Lisle/Benedictine University Sports Complex. BenU will take on Robert Morris on
Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. and Linfield on
Friday at 3:00 p.m.
Members of the National Women's Lacrosse League, Chicago-based
Robert Morris (6-3) figures to be a tough opponent for Benedictine. The team comes into the Tuesday matchup on a four-game winning streak, outscoring opponents 73-13 over that span. In addition, Robert Morris defeated one of BenU's Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference opponents earlier this season, downing Aurora 9-6 back in February.
The Eagles will host a
Linfield (0-9) team on Friday who will be coming from a great distance. A Division III school located in Oregon, the Wildcats are heading to Illinois to take on Aurora, Benedictine, and North Central. BenU will be the middle game for Linfield on the Chicagoland trip, as the team takes on Aurora on Thursday and North Central on Saturday.
Benedictine currently has a record of 1-4, but has dropped its last two matches by scores off 11-7 and 13-10.
Hannah Payne scored eight times in those two contests and now ranks 11th in the MWLC with 15 goals.
