Box Score LISLE, Illinois-- The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team dropped a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference match against Carthage on Friday night, falling 21-3 at the Village of Lisle/Benedictine University Sports Complex.
Carthage controlled the game early, building a 10-2 lead at halftime despite BenU goals from
Hannah Payne and
Samantha Link. Carthage was also strong in the second period, outscoring BenU 11-1. Payne netted the lone goal in the second half for BenU, and
Lauren Mallo stopped four shots in net on the night. The two goals for Payne increased her total to 23 on the year.
Women's Lacrosse will compete next on Sunday when the team travels to Beloit College for a 1:00 p.m. conference match.
