Box Score LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team was beaten on a late goal for the second consecutive contest, falling to Olivet 8-7 on Wednesday afternoon.
Olivet raced to a 4-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of the opening half. Benedictine scored twice in the final four minutes of the half to battle within 5-3 at the break. Consecutive goals from

Hannah Payne evened the score at 6-6 with 9:33 remaining.
Jessica McGinnis scored an unassisted tally with 3:57 remaining to again even the score but Olivet struck with 1:35 remaining on a free position to record the win.
Payne scored twice for Benedictine. The Eagles were outshot 24-20 in the contest.
Irsah Hayat made nine saves in goal. The game was a very late addition to the schedule.
Benedictine (1-7) will host Augustana on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.
