Box Score 2 The Benedictine University volleyball team competed in the first day of the Illinois Wesleyan University Barker Chevrolet Classic, falling to Coe College and Greenville College.
In the first match, BenU fell in three sets to Coe (12-25, 11-25, 17-25). In the game,
Keriann Groen tallied four kills while
Andraia Leja had 10 digs.
Against Greenville (13-25, 24-25, 18-25), the Eagles played a tough second set but still fell in three sets. The Eagles were led by Leja with 16 digs and 15 digs from
Caitlyn Martin.
Abby Screnock had eight digs and 12 assists.
"This is always a tough tournament," said head coach
Jennifer Wildes. "There is some great competition here and we really need to step our game up tomorrow".
Benedictine takes on Blackburn College at 10:00 am and Ohio Northern University at 12:00 pm.
