CHICAGO, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team lost a tough 12-11 contest at the Illinois Institute of Technology on Wednesday night in double overtime.

Samantha Link and Gabby Rowe each tallied four goals with Becca Gullett adding three. Benedictine rallied from down five goals to lead 10-9 before overtime. Illinois Tech scored the game winner just before the final horn in the first sudden death period after the teams each scored in the first frame.

Benedictine (1-11, 1-3) hosts Carroll in a non-conference contest on Friday night.
