Women's Lacrosse Edged in Overtime

Box Score LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team was edged in overtime by visiting Kalamazoo College on Saturday afternoon.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine got off to a very solid start, building a 3-0 lead with goals from Taylor Adams and a pair from Samantha Link all just two minutes apart
• Ella Campbell scored a goal late in the first half to extend the advantage to 4-1 and Benedictine held a 4-2 lead at the half
• Kalamazoo scored the first four goals of the second half, a stretch of five in a row overall, to nab a 6-4 advantage
• Consecutive goals from Jasmine Moreno and one from Madison Horan enabled Benedictine to take the lead again at 7-6
• Becca Gullett allowed Benedictine to lead late, but Kalamazoo scored with just over three minutes remaining and just 30 seconds in to overtime to notch the win

• Kalamazoo held a 29-19 advantage in shots and a 15-10 mark in groundballs
• Benedictine used 11 draw controls compared to five for Kalamazoo
