The Benedictine University men's basketball team opened the season by dropping an 84-68 decision to #24 Wheaton at home on Wednesday night.
Trevor Montiel led three players in double figured with 18, adding a team best eight rebounds.
Marvin Agwomoh totaled 17 before fouling out, adding six boards while finishing 8-of-12 from the floor.
Nick Kosich amassed 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Trailing by seven midway through the first half Benedictine used a 9-0 run to open a 22-20 lead.
