-Benedictine trailed just briefly in the contest after Augustana scored the opening goal less than a minute into the contest

Will Robinson also used a pass from Domek to put Benedictine ahead
-Augustana tied the game to open the second quarter before Domek scored in a man-down situation to put Benedictine ahead, opening a run of three straight goals as Benedictine did not trail the rest of the way
-Benedictine went on to lead by four goals and slow down the game in the fourth quarter to ease out a victory
-Augustana defeated Benedictine last year
