Men's Volleyball Reaches Second Straight NACC Title Match

LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's volleyball team reached a second straight conference championship match by sweeping Aurora.

THE DETAILS
•
The first set was tight throughout and Benedictine needed to overcome a pair of significant deficits
• Nathan Klimisch put down a kill to hand Benedictine a 5-4 lead before Aurora scored five straight
• With the contest tied 13-13, Aurora scored four straight to lead 17-13 and also held a 19-15 edge
• An attack error opened the door for Benedictine to storm back behind the raucous crowd
• Jacob Grygo logged three kills and Tim Folliard tallied a block in a six-point run that saw Benedictine move ahead 21-19
• The visitors moved in front again at 22-21, but Benedictine responded with three straight points and closed the set on a Martin Radomski kill
• Aurora scored the first point of the second but did not lead again as Benedictine logged the next three
• Benedictine started to pull away, eventually opening a double-digit edge
• Aurora battled in the third set but with the contest even at 16-16, Benedictine rattled off five straight points and advanced to the championship with kills from Chase Olson and Radomski to end the contest
• Benedictine put down 19 kills in the opening set and hit .550 in the second, finishing at .358
