After a low scoring first quarter visiting UW-Oshkosh pulled away from the Benedictine University women's basketball team to claim a non-conference win by a 67-41 final.
Neither team was able to score in the opening three minutes of the contest. Benedictine held a 5-2 advantage past the mid-point of the quarter and found themselves down just one at 9-8 when the first 10 minutes came to a close. Oshkosh put 21 points in the second quarter to gain control and used a 17-0 run at the end of the third and into the start of the fourth to put the game out of reach.
Benedictine shot 27.7 percent for the game and scored a season low 41 points.
Ryann Ogarek led the team in scoring for the fourth time this year as the lone player in double figures, finishing with 12.
Jordan Carlquist added eight. Oshkosh held a 36-31 edge on the glass and scored 24 points on 27 turnovers by Benedictine.
Benedictine (0-5) opens conference play on Saturday at St. Norbert, the preseason favorite and 2022-23 conference champion.
