The Benedictine university men's volleyball team won the opening set but suffered a four-set loss to host California Lutheran in the opener of the California Lutheran Invitational. Benedictine hit .142 for the match and won the opening set 26-24 after posting 15 kills.
Martin Radomski banged down 18 kills in the loss.
Chase Olson added nine kills and four blocks.
Chandler Olson dished 34 assists while
Kyle Vasquez notched 10 digs.
