The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team opened a new era with a 14-3 defeat at North Central in the first game under head coach Blake Keenan.
Jordan Chock scored the first goal of the season to give Benedictine an early lead but North Central scored the next four and did not trail again. Three individuals scored for Benedictine, who won just two faceoffs.
James McDonald recorded 22 saves in goal.
