Calvin scored a pair of goals in the final five minutes to tally a 10-9 victory over the Benedictine University men's lacrosse team in a tight contest at home on Saturday afternoon. The contest was tight throughout with Calvin holding a three-goal lead late in the first half. Benedictine scored three consecutive goals to take the lead at 9-8 early in the fourth and had a pair of man-up situations late but could not convert.
Tyler Sarna and
Jordan Chock both scored three times.
Lance Kopecky won 11 faceoffs and picked up nine groundballs. Benedictine held a 46-37 edge in groundballs and also posted more shots with 47.
Cayden Cagle made five saves while COlin Krause added seven.
