Completing a stretch of five games at home in the first six contests of the year, the Benedictine University men's lacrosse team dropped a 17-7 decision to visiting Lake Forest on Wednesday night.
Lake Forest pulled away late. Benedictine was within 7-4 in the third following a goal from
Will Robinson set up by
Robert Schroeder, but Lake Forest ripped off nine of the next 10 goals including seven straight at one point to pull away.
Lake Forest tallied 42 shots. Benedictine turned the ball over 30 times with a bulk coming on clear attempts.
Robinson scored three times for Benedictine with
Tyler Sarna and
Dylan Langley both scoring twice. Schroeder dished three assists.
Benedictine (1-5) heads to Calvin on Saturday.
