The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team opened the 2025 season with a short jaunt to North Central, dropping a 12-2 decision.
North Central took the lead just over two minutes into the game and held a 4-0 edge following the opening quarter. North Central led 6-0 before
Aiden Elliott scored the first goal of the season with 1:45 remaining in the half. North Central padded the lead with three goals in the third and found themselves leading 10-1 before
Luke Grant scored the second tally.
North Central held a 48-19 lead in shots. Benedictine won nine faceoffs. Elliott posted five shots.
Colin Doyle started in goal and recorded 13 saves.
Benedictine (0-1) will host Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday night.
