The Benedictine University women's basketball team led for nearly the entire game, storming past Edgewood to score a key conference victory by a 67-50 final.
Edgewood scored the first basket of the game but Benedictine tallied the next 15 to take a commanding edge they would not relinquish.

Olympia Kokkines scored with 54 seconds left in the third as Benedictine led 58-31. Edgewood pulled no closer than the final score in the fourth.
Benedictine shot 55.6 percent in the first quarter to set the tone and finished at 43.9 percent. Schueler led three players in double figures with 15.
Hailey Bachmann kicked in 14 with
Allison Jarvis adding 12.
Makenzie Carroll fell just short of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds. Benedictine held a 36-31 advantage on the glass.
Benedictine (11-9, 7-4 NACC) travels to Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday.
